Recapping the Ravenight

   My colleagues and I attended our department's 3rd Anniversary party. In actuality, it's my 2nd year with the account, but really, I don't give a damn and so should you. If you know my peeps and I, we go where there's free beer and decent chow.

The venue was very classy - especially that I'm comparing it with last year's which was like a private school cafeteria. (no im not exagerrating) Oh Boy, I love the upgrade! 

 

So anyway, there I was, all made and dressed up even when my friends wore classic jeans as they "werent in the same partymode as I was". Hey, you can't blame me! A wise cuckoo from my past told me "you work with workclothes, you party with partyclothes" - or something like that. I'm sure she sounded more guruish than that but you get the point, yes?  

My regret though was that my make up wore me more than I wore it but, as always, it's how you make it work. CONFIDENCE BABY!  And if that doesn't work, self-mockery shall do the trick. It never failed me yet 

It was a splendid night as I surrounded myself with people I like and liked me back.  What if they dont?  Well, what you don't know won't hurt you right? I digress. 

I got me & my peeps endless booze (made BFFs with the waiters who served beer & the VIPeeps served with overflowing hard liquor) AND non-stop camwhoring (made BFFs with the photographers at the event).

If i may state the obvious; I HAD MAJOR FUN.  I was my carefree-self —you'd think I came up with the phrase "hakuna matata"

Because while it was a commemoration to 'em clients and bosses, it was a liberating night-out for me. I'm stressin out for the past couple of weeks, what with my hanging promotion slash pending unemployment (read: Skipping the Yips), I realized, it's about time that I go out again, and laugh at people's drunken dreams.
