Yes, but…
June 5, 2007The moment you immersed in my world, my friends doubted your survival. I did too; I'm convinced I'm a high-maintenance cuckoo and you may not be able to afford my lifestyle.
I did what a love-crazed person would do - I lowered my expectations.
I chose to keep the butterflies in my tummy, that fleet when you hold my hand. I kept chasing them even on an empty stomach or on a limited time.
Now as the stale Marlboro parch my lungs, it ignites a craving for a more accomplished relationship.
We may have overestimated your charms and my patience, despite knowing you're crazy for me and I am for you.
I overplay in my head, a fantasy-relationship where: conversation is effortless and fun; interest never dies; energy doesn't run out; money overflows; and time, abundant.
Yes, love you much.
But this, I share with Wise Ely: "I cannot be made to stay, life's a journey anyway."
Leave my so-called-lovelife out of this. Seriously, the chad is still great =)
